Petr Foltýn, a graduate of VŠB TÚ Ostrava, has worked on major telecommunications projects since 1995 as an employee of the Swedish company ERICSSON, where he was in charge of project and product management, and later the development of special solutions for dispatching communications for the mining, heavy and nuclear industries. In 2012, he founded Solidus Tech s.r.o. together with former colleagues from Ericsson and, after the gradual decline of telecommunications activities, has been exclusively dedicated to LPWAN IoT projects since 2015. Currently, in addition to the formal function of CEO, he is primarily responsible for the development of HW and FW for his own products. The company is primarily focused on trade in Western Europe.
Solidus Tech was founded in 2012, as a legacy of Ericsson, which moved towards mobile infrastructure deliveries and so-called enterprise projects were outsourced. Solidustech has worked for customers such as OKD, a.s., Arcelor Mittal, etc. In 2016, the company began to focus more and more on the LPWAN area, especially Sigfox, LoRaWAN and later NBIoT. Since 2017, the portfolio of customers for smart agriculture, smart metering, smart city, etc. has gradually grown, and the volumes of its own products have also grown. Initially outsourcing electronics, Solidus Tech moved to invest in its own SMT assembly line. This has made Solidus Tech a completely self-sufficient electronics manufacturer, where in addition to in-house production it has its own development facilities, very good inventory and production processes controlled by its own MES - Manufacturing Execution System. Currently, the company's portfolio includes approximately 80 types of devices and approximately 150 different FWs are tied to them according to the needs of our customers. The production volume now exceeds 2,000 devices per month. The business database includes over 250 customers and partners.
SMART ACTORS. During February, we will have a finalized case study with our partners for a joint presentation.
As part of the presentation, we would like to introduce actuators in the following areas:
* Smart metering for water management, focusing on effective water saving
* Public lighting control
* Control of power electrical parts, such as motors, air conditioners and other devices
